Who owns the records?
You do. You keep the originals and the ownership. An AI company gets a licensed copy of the parts you approve, under a contract you sign, and you can walk away any time before you sign.
Who qualifies?
Usually US companies with 20 or more full-time employees, several years of records in business software (email, job or dispatch software, accounting), records the company owns, and customer contracts that allow it. Most companies don't qualify, which is why the check comes first.
Who are the AI companies?
AI labs and the data firms that supply them. We don't list them here, but you'll know exactly who each one is before you agree to any introduction.
What does it cost, and how do you get paid?
The check is free. If you want us to represent you, we agree our fee with you in writing before anything starts, and nothing is owed until you sign. An AI company may also pay us a referral fee, and we tell you exactly how much, in writing, before you sign.
Will my drivers', crew's or customers' info be shared?
AI companies want the work, not the people. Names, phone numbers and addresses come out before anything is used. Pay, medical, drug-test and background records stay out completely, and so do texts on personal phones.
Could this hurt me or my customers?
We built the steps to prevent that: an NDA comes first, you approve a sample, the contract sets what gets removed and what the AI company may do, and nothing is shared without your OK. No deal is completely risk-free, so we also check your customer contracts on the first call, and you should have your own lawyer read the deal before you sign.
What if my customer contracts or NDAs say I can't share?
Then those records stay out. Many contracts do say that, which is why the form asks. On the first call we sort out which customers' records are free to use and which aren't. If a contract is unclear, your lawyer decides. We'd rather leave records out than put you in breach.
Is this legal?
It can be, when it's done right: your company owns the records, your customer contracts allow it, and personal details come out. We check those with you on the first call. Have your own lawyer read any contract before you sign.
What happens to the records afterwards?
The contract you sign sets it: what the AI company may use them for, how long it keeps them, and how deletion works. Terms differ a lot between companies, so we point out anything missing, and your own lawyer reads it before you sign.
How long does it take?
The check takes about 5 minutes and the first call 15. After that you set the pace: offers take a few weeks, and nothing happens until you sign.
